Turning disability into ability
I am writing this blog because I feel it is important to empower other disabled people to show them through my own actions that we are valued members of society. People and organisations often tell us we cannot do something because of our disability, I spend my life trying to prove these people and organisations wrong. I hope that through my experience – the good and the bad – that I can encourage people to start their own challenges and to begin having their own successes.

Hello I'm Lexi, I live with my fiancé Adam in Whitstable, Kent and am registered blind. I'm a Guide Dog Owner, my current dog is called Unique (Uni for short), she is my second Guide Dog. My first dog Lilly is enjoying her retirement still living at home with us.
I'm passionate about promoting independence and empowering individuals to achieve everything they possibly can. We live in a world that isn't made for us so i try to smash through the boxes people try to put me in and achieve my goals in my own unique way.
My other passions are Horses and reading, as well as music and socialising with others. I enjoy going out for meals and spending time with my family.
